The brass structure gives it just the right weight, and the way the porcelain floats along it makes the whole piece feel almost delicate. I hung it over the dining table and the fluting softens the glow into these lovely vertical streaks at night.

The incised fluting catches the light in such a delicate way—it’s like the glow itself has texture. The brass structure feels solid and precise, and the porcelain floats on it exactly as described. I keep turning it on just to watch the shadows play.

I wasn’t sure how the porcelain would hold up against the brass, but the contrast is even prettier in person. The fluting gives off a soft, almost ribbed shadow when it’s lit, and it’s become the first thing I notice walking into the room.
