The slip-cast porcelain forms of the Lantern series float along a rigid brass structure. their glow is punctuated by finely incised fluting, connecting to the most essential element of historical lanterns - light passing through a delicate protective form. Repeating spheres act as a counterpoint to the sizable shades.

The incised fluting catches the light in such a subtle way, like the glow is actually part of the porcelain instead of just bouncing off it. The brass structure feels solid and balanced, and it’s become the quiet anchor of my dining room. I catch myself staring at it every evening.

The way the porcelain floats on that rigid brass frame is what sold me—it feels weightless but solid at the same time, and the incised fluting gives it a subtle texture that shifts as you walk by. It's been up a week and I still catch myself staring at the glow it throws at night.

The incised fluting catches the light in a way that makes the whole piece feel alive at dusk, and the porcelain is beautifully thin yet sturdy. It hangs perfectly centered on the brass frame, and I catch myself staring at the glow every evening.
