STANDBY : SMOKING TABLE

The hinged leaves are such a clever touch—folding out like a tv tray but feeling way more refined in person. The marble top has this cool weight to it, and the patent leather inset adds a texture I didn't expect to like this much. It's genuinely become the spot where I set my coffee every evening.

It’s not often a piece of furniture makes me smile, but the hinged leaves on this marble and brass tray-table are just so clever. The patent leather inset adds a touch of unexpected luxury, and it feels sturdier than it looks.

The brass hinges on the leaves are so smooth they nearly glide shut on their own, and the patent leather inset gives it a sleek, almost vintage feel. It’s genuinely fun to swing the sides out and use it as a temporary tray, then tuck it back into the wall when guests leave.
