SEQUENCE : CONCEPT 09

The modular layout meant I could finally fit a rug to my awkward L-shaped living room, and the wool side feels dense underfoot without being scratchy. Configuring the pieces took a bit of thought, but the result looks like a single, seamless custom piece.

The silk sections catch the light so differently from the wool that the whole floor feels like it's shifting as you walk past—never seen that effect in a rug before. I've rearranged the modules three times already and each configuration looks like a completely new piece.

The modular layout let me finally cover that awkward hallway corner, and the contrast between the smooth silk and the wool texture is even better in person. I keep rearranging the pieces just to see how the light plays on the different fibers.
